Pumps - Introduction and Overview

Early 1999 saw the introduction of the Pump Division to Mearl’s Machine.

Since inception in 1976 Mearl’s had offered machining, in house repairs and some field repairs for a variety of pumping equipment. The primary focus of developing the pump division was to extend and expand the existing capabilities of Mearl’s into a familiar but somewhat new and broader direction.

The development of the Pump Division expanded on these existing services to include more in depth Field & Shop Services. The knowledge to troubleshoot pump problems, offer New Equipment Products, Pump Accessories and Pump Packaging & Fabrication. In addition repair materials and some new equipment inventory was introduced to facilitate customer’s requirements.

In general our intention was and is:
“To offer a more complete service to the customer”.

The markets served include, but are not limited to:

  •   Industrial
  •   Municipal
  •   Commercial
  •   Recreational
  •   Beverage and Food Processing
  •   Industrial Marine
  •   Agricultural

To service these markets we have developed relationships with suppliers to provide fluid moving Products in a variety of equipment types styles and brands.

Our location in Southern Central B.C. allows us to service a wider area more easily than being located either in Calgary or Vancouver. It has allowed us to develop valued relationships with customers throughout the province from the Alberta border to Vancouver Island and points north.

Since its inception Mearl’s Pump Division has seen steady growth not only in the markets and areas serviced but also in products and services offered. In 2000, we added a variety of Automatic Control Valve inventory to our shelves to respond to the needs expressed by our customers. In addition we have further developed Pump Packaging & Fabrication to complement our equipment sales.

To round out our services we have provided Seminars and currently assist in offering specific lectures to students at Okanagan University College’s Water Technologies course as a small part of their overall training.

It is our commitment that we will continue to look for new products and services, which will benefit our customers and ensure that we continue to be a relied on as a solution provider.
